My name is Trevor Young - the PR Warrior!
I'm a co-founder and principal partner of strategy and communications advisory firm parkyoung, based in Melbourne, Australia.
parkyoung provides personalised strategic marketing and corporate communications counsel for decision-makers within large companies and organisations. It also represents smaller fast-growth enterprises and not-for-profit groups.
Prior to establishing parkyoung, I was for 10 years co-managing partner of Spark Communications, a creative PR and brand experience agency. I started that company in 1998 with one other partner; in October, 2006, the business was acquired by one of Australia's biggest publicly-listed marcomms organisations - Mitchell Communication Group Ltd.
I've also worked as a senior consultant for several major consultancies including Holt Porter Novelli and The Rowland Company.
I'm a journalist by profession but have worked in public relations and marketing communications for 20 years.
Personally and professionally, I'm fascinated by the internet and how it has dramatically transformed the media and marketing landscape...I'm very passionate about the future of PR and communications and am keen to somehow, in my own (very) minor way, help bridge the gap between the various disciplines/elements that make up PR and marketing communications.
